The 49ers will go into an extremely important draft in 2024 without a pick in their best round. San Francisco under Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch have been able to track down some gems in the middle part of Day 3 of the draft, but this year they’ll be without the fifth-round picks that have been so good to them.
As part of the NFL’s disciplinary action against the 49ers for an accounting error in player compensation the league pushed San Francisco’s 4th-round pick down to the bottom of the round, and their lone fifth-round pick has been forfeited.
