Arik Armstead and Javon Hargrave aren’t sure things to play against the Baltimore Ravens

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan provided injury updates Monday afternoon. Defensive tackle Kalia Davis, who left the game early in Week 15 with an ankle injury, sustained a high-ankle sprain and will miss a few weeks.

The writing was on the wall as Davis left the locker room right in front of me in a walking boot. Davis had been filling in for the injured Arik Armstead and Javon Hargrave.

Armstead, who has missed the past few games with both a knee and foot injury, will be day-to-day. Shanahan said the team will see how it goes this week. The same was said for Hargrave, who missed the Cardinals game with a hamstring injury.

Shanahan didn’t sound sure whether Hargrave or Armstead would be available next Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens. Shanahan was asked if the 49ers would look into the free agent pool and consider adding a veteran like Ndamukong Suh, but Kyle said that hasn’t been discussed yet.

Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir (rib contusion) and edge rusher Clelin Ferrell (ankle) are also day-to-day.

Wide receiver Jauan Jennings is in the concussion protocol.

Quarterback Brock Purdy no longer has symptoms from the stinger he suffered during Week 15 to his non-throwing shoulder.

Tight end Ross Dwelley, linebacker Oren Burks, and running back Elijah Mitchell will all be monitored throughout the week. Right guard Spencer Burford is returning to practice from a knee injury.
