After signing free agent corner Isaac Yiadom from the New Orleans Saints, the San Francisco 49ers made another addition to the secondary with a veteran free agent.

On Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reported the 49ers have signed veteran defensive back Rock Ya-Sin to a one-year contract.

Ya-Sin will join a cornerback rotation that features Charvarius Ward, Deommodore Lenoir, Ambry Thomas and Yiadom.

The 5-foot-11 Temple product has played five seasons in the NFL since being drafted in the second round of the 2019 draft by the Indianapolis Colts. After three seasons with the Colts, Ya-Sin played one season for the Las Vegas Raiders before playing with the Baltimore Ravens last season.

In 66 games over his career, Ya-Sin has tallied two interceptions to go along with two fumble recoveries and two tackles for loss.

Ya-Sin played 14 games for the Ravens, starting in one. During his time with the Ravens, Ya-Sin recorded 13 tackles and two pass deflections.

With the secondary additions of Ya-Sin and Yiadom in free agency, the 49ers will likely have more flexibility when they hit the clock in the draft in just two weeks.
